It
is a live system and with
proper care
can last
a long time. Also
we are available to answer
questions you might
have. Your system should
be pumped periodically.
This will keep
you from
expensive replacement of an absorption
bed, (leach field). Regardless
of what you hear, pump your tank.
Below
is a
pumping chart based on what most
counties suggest.
Note:
The chart is if you are
not using a garbage
disposal.

Here is a brief description
of how a septic works.

information click on septic
101
Your system is made up
of two components. Your tank
is the
first stop for
all the waste coming from your
home. In
the tank, the processing of
bacteria break down the solids
sent to
the tank. The waste product
from the
bacteria and
Inorganic matter that can
not be processed by bacteria
fall
to the
bottom of
the tank, which is called
sludge.
Bacteria
is passed along from you
to the tank,
so there is
no need
to add
bacteria. Sludge will over
time build up in your tank
and take up room that
otherwise
would
be used
by the
system to process waste
from the house. When too
much sludge builds up
in the
tank, it will
migrate the
leach field and clog up
the absorption bed.
This
is a very expensive repair
with the cost being
in the thousands.
Leach
fields can fail due to
poor
engineering, age, over
use, and various other
reasons.
